RACAL sits on top of the standings thanks to Philip Paniamogan's game-winning triple that clinched their thrilling 90-88 come-from-behind victory against Phoenix in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Tuesday.
But the hero of the game for the Tile Masters, who have solo lead with an 8-2 win-loss record, gave much of the credit for their comeback to teammate Joseph Terso.
"Kung hindi rin dahil sa kanya, baka talo kami," said Paniamogan of Terso after their conquest of the Accelerators.
"Para sa'kin, sya nagpanalo," he added.
Terso hit two cold-blooded three-pointers inside the final three minutes, the last of which allowed the Tile Masters to regain the lead after trailing by eight early in the fourth period.
The former National University standout, though, downplayed the praise, citing the team's collective effort as the key to the much-needed victory.
"It was a total team effort. Alam naman namin lahat gaano ka-importante to para sa amin kasi dikit dikit kami sa taas e," said Terso, who scored all of his nine points in the second half.
"Ready lang ako lagi. Sabi ko, pag open tira, yun din reminder sa akin nila coach," he added.
