CAFE France faces a tough task in the PBA D-League semifinals, facing twice-to-beat Phoenix just two days after their last game in the eliminations.
The Bakers had a shot at a twice-to-beat advantage until the final day of the elims, but wound up No. 3 with a 9-3 win-loss card.
But the Bakers are prepared for the challenge, facing Phoenix at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the Strike Gym in Bacoor, Cavite.
"Nanghihinayang din pero ganun ang nangyari, we lost some crucial games at naapektuhan nun ang standings," said Cafe France assistant coach Mike Buendia.
"One win could have given us the twice-to-beat advantage but we have to live with it and prepare for the next game."
The Accelerators enter the game on a full week's rest, but Buendia noted the Bakers starters are also well-rested and import Rodrigue Ebondo, who missed the game against winless Topstar Mindanao Aguilas, is set to return.
"We play right away on Thursday kaya kailangan ipahinga mo rin regular starters mo. Part of the game plan na rin yun," said Buendia.
"Medyo masama rin pakiramdam niya, kaya nag-decide na lang na ipahinga para sa Thursday."
"Any team can beat anybody. Hopefully, we can get through it and get to the finals again," he said.
