THE Racal Tile Masters have been firing on all cylinders, taking down two giants in Phoenix and Tanduay to become the surprising league leader in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Yet for the team's top gunner Jonathan Grey, they plan to push the pedal to the metal even more as they have their eyes firmly fixed on their goal of closing out the eliminations on a high.

"Kailangan talaga namin makuha yung Top Two," said Grey. "Sinabi naman ni coach (Caloy Garcia) yung importance nung game kaya nag-go hard kami."

Racal's all out effort paid off with a 90-81 victory over the Rhum Masters on Thursday and a stronger grip on the top spot with a superior 9-2 win-loss record, thanks to a five-game winning streak.

Grey, who scored game-high 17 points, said the team's is riding high, thanks in large part to Garcia's system that allows anyone on their team to step up at any time.

"Kumbaga (sa sistema ni coach) kapag ka hindi mo araw, merong ibang player diyan na sasalo sayo at tutulungan ka," said the former Benilde main man.

Proof of this is their win over Phoenix where the bench mob led by Philip Paniamogan, Dexter Maiquez, and Joseph Terso carried the Tile Masters to victory.

Grey said Racal is definitely oozing with confidence, but it won't take AMA Online Education lightly in its final game as it vies for the twice-to-beat edge in the playoffs.

"Malaking confidence namin kasi tinalo namin Phoenix at Tanduay. Pero di naman kami magrerelax sa AMA," said the soft-spoken cager.

"Kumbaga practice na rin yan para sa next round. Kung ano ginagawa namin ngayon, malamang yun na gagawin namin sa semis or championship if ever," he added.
