JASON Perkins had nine of his 16 points in the fourth period as Caida Tiles outdueled AMA Online Education, 103-84, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Perkins, the No. 1 pick in the PBA D-League draft last year out of La Salle, scored seven points in a 22-6 finish as the Tile Master scored their second win in as many games.
Caida Tiles pulled away after AMA got to within three, 78-81, with five minutes left in the fourth.
“The nice thing about it is ’yung confidence ng players hindi nawala and they worked hard for it. I just let the players play how they were supposed to play,” said Caida Tiles coach Caloy Garcia.
“The players relaxed tapos I just reminded them na we can’t relax and we want a running game in the fourth,” he added.
A 10-0 run put Caida ahead, 91-78. After a basket by AMA's Bobby Balucanag, Perkins completed a three-point play and made a lay-up for a comfortable 96-80 advantage.
Joseph Terso had 12 points and five assists, while Jonathan Grey added 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals for the Tile Master.
Rashawn McCarthy had 16 points and six rebounds, while Jerramy King added 14 for AMA, which dropped its first game of the conference. Jam Jamito had 10 points and nine rebounds for AMA.
