TEY Teodoro came up big down the stretch as Jose Rizal University hacked out an 86-77 win over Wangs on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Quiet in the first three quarters, Teodoro caught fire in the final period, scoring 15 of JRU's last 17 points.

JRU coach Vergel Meneses was glad Teodoro responded to his challenge, lifting the Bombers who trailed by 12 at the half.

"Yung pag take charge, nya right time e. Yun sinasabi ko sa kanya, when the game is on the line, take charge," Meneses said.
