TERRY Saldana made an appearance in the PBA D-League on Monday for Wang’s-Letran.

The former PBA star is listed as an assistant coach for Wang’s in the Aspirants Cup but appeared for the first time in the team's game in the developmental league.

Saldana, 60, politely declined to be interviewed, but confirmed he was included by team owner Alex Wang in the squad as an assistant coach.

The former Ginebra and Toyota player also opted not to join the rest of the coaching staff, sitting at the back of the bench during Wang's come-from-behind 83-82 win over Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian.

The 6-3 Saldana had a celebrated PBA career that spanned over 18 years, jumping straight from high school to make a splash for Toyota in 1982.

Saldana recovered from a gruesome knee injury and went on to play for Ginebra, RFM Swift, and Gordon’s Gin, before capping off his career with Batang Red Bull.

Before turning pro, Saldana played high school ball with the Letran.
