TANDUAY has signed up Von Pessumal, Rudy Lingganay and Ryan Wetherell for the coming PBA D-League season and the team is hopeful it can lure college standouts, most notably Kevin Ferrer and Ed Daquioag of University of Santo Tomas, into its fold.

Tanduay head coach Lawrence Chongson said the team was able to sign Pessumal, their first round draft choice in the D-League rookie draft earlier this month, along with his Ateneo teammate Fonzo Gotladera.

Also joining the Tanduay squad are ex-pro Lingganay and Wetherell, who made a good impression in the last PBA Draft Combine, was picked by Batang Pier in the fourth round but was left unsigned.

Tanduay, however, is not done with its wheeling and dealing, having made standing offers to Ferrer and Daquioag - heroes of the UST Tigers' run to the UAAP Finals where they lost to Far Eastern University.

The two UST standouts were also part of this UAAP season’s Mythical Five selection.

“We are still waiting for the answer to our offer to Kevin Ferrer and Ed Daquioag,” said Chongson.

Aside from Pessumal and Co., Chongson said the team was able to recruit Mark Romero and former University of the East cagers Lucas Tagarda, Adrian Santos, and Pari Llagas.

Tanduay is the only pioneer team left in the PBA D-League and the squad is looking at no less than a title in the Foundation Cup, which is expected to unfurl in late January.
