AMA Online stretches streak to three and keeps Blustar winless in Aspirants Cup

AMA Online Education rose from six points down in the final five minutes to eke out an 83-78 win over Blustar on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao. 

The Titans rolled to their third straight win for a 5-2 win-loss card, while keeping the Dragons winless in five games.

Down 69-75 with 4:38 remaining, the Titans went on an 8-0 run capped by Jay-R Taganas' three-point play for a 77-75 lead. 

Ryan Arambulo hit back-to-back baskets to push the Titans ahead 81-76. 

"Sabi ko sa kanila its all about our pride," said AMA coach Mark Herrera, whose team fell behind by as many as eight points early in the payoff period. 

"Kitang kita naman ng kaya namin layuan pero nag-relax at nakahabol kalaban dahil nagkaroon ng kompyansa," he said. 

Kwaan Yoong Jing scored 16 for Blustar.
