TANDUAY Rhum scraped past the Topstar ZC Mindanao, 84-81, on Thursday for its second straight win in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Rudy Lingganay raked in 15 points, including the final three from the foul line, as the Rhum Masters improved their win-loss record to 5-2.

Louie Vigil scored 14 and Val Acuna added 11.

"Mahirap kalaban yung ganung klaseng team, yung nothing to lose," said Tanduay coach Lawrence Tiongson of their foes, who remained winless in six games.

The Aguilas grabbed the upperhand with Robin Rono's third triple in the payoff period, 78-74.

But the Rhum Masters regained steam after a Louie Vigil basket and a Jaypee Velencion triple with 47 ticks left.

Moments later, Topstar was slapped with an excessive timeout technical foul. Lingganay hit the technical free throw and two more freebies to seal the win.

Rono and JR Cawaling led the Aguilas with 22 markers apiece.
