RUDY Lingganay and Jaypee Belencion led a balanced scoring attack as Tanduay beat AMA Online Education, 72-66, on Thursday on opening day of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The ex-pros combined for 22 points as the Rhum Masters led by as many as 22 markers.

Tanduay coach Lawrence Chongson warned the team about complacency, although he likes the potential of the Rhum Masters, who have five new players on the roster led by Gelo Alolino and Louie Vigil.

"’Yung character ng team, ’yun ang tinututukan ko. Lumalaban lang sa level ng competition. Lagi ko silang winawarn na sooner or later, pagbabayaran din namin ’yan," said Chongson.

“But then, when we led by 20, kahit sandali lang, dun mo makikita ’yung potential,” he added.

Jaycee Asuncion and Gene Belleza had 18 points each for AMA.
