CAMEROON’S Rod Ebondo had 22 points and 15 rebounds as CafeFrance edged Racal, 78-72, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Mon Abundo added 16 points, while Carl Bryan Cruz scored 13 points for the Bakers, who improved their win-loss record to 5-1, second behind Phoenix (5-0).

“The boys played good defense. The boys played well and they cannot stop Ebondo inside, so I guess that’s the bottomline there,” said CafeFrance coach Egay Macaraya.

Racal fought back from 15 points down in the first half to move within two at the end of the third quarter and managing to take the lead in the fourth, 63-62, after a three-point play by Philip Paniamogan.

However, back-to-back treys from Abundo and a drive from Aaron Jeruta put the Bakera back in control, 73-65.

Jonathan Grey led the Tile Master with 12 points, Paniamogan scored 11, while Chris Javier contributed 10 points and five boards. Gabriel Pe
