CIGNAL-San Beda's Robert Bolick was crowned MVP of the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Monday in a brief awarding ceremony held before Game Two of the championship series between the Hawkeyes and Racal.

Bolick bested teammate Jason Perkins, Cafe France's Paul Desiderio, and Racal's Sidney Onwubere and Kent Salado.

The San Beda guard averaged 12.2 points on 49.5-percent shooting, 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.2 steals in his maiden D-League conference.

He was also instrumental in the team's eight-game winning streak that gave the Hawkeyes an outright semifinals berth.

Cignal-San Beda finished the elimination round atop the standings with an 8-1 card, losing only to Jeron Teng's AMA Online Education in the opener.

The Hawkeyes have the chance to claim the Aspirants' Cup crown if they beat Racal in the ongoing Game Two at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
