Robert Bolick shows way as Hawkeyes stretch streak to three with rout of Batangas

CIGNAL-San Beda rolled to its third straight win with a 95-68 trouncing of Batangas in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Monday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Hawkeyes grabbed a share of second spot with Tanduay and Cafe France with identical 3-1 win-loss records.

Using a strong second quarter, the Hawkeyes built a 56-34 lead heading into the break and Batangas showed little resistance from there.

"We still have to develop our teamwork," said Cignal coach Boyet Fernandez, whose team outscored Batangas 31-12 in the second period.

"I just told the boys every time you're given the chance to play you really have to step up."

Robert Bolick set the tone for Cignal by scoring 13 of his 19 points in the first half.

Cedrick Ablaza scored 16 and Cedric De Joya chipped in with 12 markers for Batangas, which absorbed its fourth loss in five outings.
