Racal deals Blustar a 62-point drubbing, two markers off D-League record for margin of victory

RACAL gave winless Blustar-KL Dragons a sound beating, 122-60, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Robby Celiz scored 17 points to lead five other Racal players Tile Masters in double figures.

The Tile Master outscored the Dragons, 35-15, in the fourth period en route to the lopsided win.

The 62-point victory was two points short of the largest winning margin in the PBA D-League, when NLEX defeated Zambales M-Builders, 125-61, on January 30, 2014.

The Tile Master went on a 14-2 run to finish the first quarter with a 24-13 edge and held on to improve their record to 3-1 and join Tanduay in third place.

Billy Ray Robles had 14 points, while Raphael Banal added 13. Philip Paniamogan scored 12 points, all on triples.

After scoring 34 points in his first game with Blustar, Juami Tiongson was limited to only 12 points as the Dragons suffered their fourth loss in as many outings.
