RENZO Subido finally made his presence felt for Marinerong Pilipino as the Skippers continued their sizzling run to the D-League Foundation Cup semifinals.

Mostly silent since moving to Marinerong Pilipino after the early exit of AMA Online, Subido seized a chance to shine on Tuesday and helped lift the Skippers to an upset over twice-to-beat Tanduay.

Subido scored all his 11 points in the fourth period where the Skippers turned things around to dispose of the Rhum Masters and arrange a semifinal showdown with Cignal.

The 5-foot-9 playmaker played down his big contribution that helped the Skippers put up a 17-2 run to erase a 10-point deficit and score their seventh straight victory.

"I was just thinking I didn't want the season to end today. I just wanna keep working hard and show what I can," he said after the match.

With the Skippers, Subido said he feels at home.

"I love playing with them because they have this family mentality. It boosts your morale to play even harder knowing they have your back," he said, adding that he intends to do even better when the Skippers face the Hawkeyes in the semifinals beginning on Thursday.

"I think we just have to be more aggressive against them. And we have to trust the system of coach Koy (Banal)," he said.
