QRS/JAM Liner-University of the Philippines got back to its winning ways with a 100-75 trouncing of the ZC Mindanao Aguilas on Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

The Maroons started the game with a 13-0 run and never looked back, improving their record to 3-2 for fourth place in the leaderboard.

QRS/JAM broke a two-game losing skid and closed in on league leaders Café France, Phoenix Petroleum, and Caida Tiles.

“It’s always good to win a game. The thing is two or three teams are good here. We just want to be the fourth team. We are just glad to be 3-2 at this point,” said QRS/JAM Liner consultant Joe Ward.

Raymond Aguilar dominated with 23 points and 15 rebounds for the Maroons, who also got 18 points each from Gelo Alolino and ex-pro Juneric Baloria.

Ward was pleased to finally bounce back after losses to Café France and Phoenix Petroleum.

“We learned a good lesson last week playing against Phoenix. If you don’t share the ball, it’s going to be hard to win. That was a good lesson for us,” said Ward.

Choi Ignacio finished with 17 points for the winless Aguilas (0-4).
