Prince Eze posts 20-20 triple-double as Perpetual Help deals JRU first loss

PRINCE Eze posted a huge triple-double as Perpetual Help blasted Jose Rizal University, 88-72, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Monday at the Pasig City Sports Center. 

The Nigerian big man came up with 24 points, 20 rebounds and 11 blocks as the Altas made it two wins in a row after an opening-day loss.

John Rey Villanueva had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while AJ Coronel added 11 markers.

Perpetual raced off to a 17-10 start and went on to hand JRU its first loss in three outings.

Perpetual coach Frankie Lim lauded his wards' efforts from start to finish of what was expected to be a nip-and-tuck match.

"We just caught them on a bad night. They're not making their shots. Malaking intimidation din si Prince sa loob. Feeling ko lang it's a bad day for JRU," said Lim.

Leonarde Esguerra paced JRU with21 points and eight rebounds.

Jeckster Apinan scored 14 and Jonathan Mendoza added 11 markers.
