Prince Eze back in top form after rib injury as Perpetual beats Batangas-EAC

PERPETUAL got back on track with an 82-75 win over Batangas-EAC in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Prince Eze returned to his dominant form after hurting his rib in a 69-81 loss to Go for Gold, churning out 24 points, 15 rebounds, and eight blocks.

Kim Aurin scored 22 points, while Edgar Charcos had 16 markers, seven rebounds, and five assists for the Altas, who improved to a 2-2 win-loss record.

"Nag-focus kami sa complete denial on defense... kailangan walang bola ang kalaban mo at maganda naman ang naging denial sa game," said Perpetual coach Frankie Lim.

Perpetual led by as much as 16, 70-54 with six minutes to go which was enough to stave off a Batangas-EAC uprising in the final minutes.

Earvin Mendoza had 17 markers for the Generals, who were sent crashing after an 81-71 shocker over Jose Rizal University on Monday. 

Batangas-EAC fell to a 1-5 card.
