Mila's Lechon set to be grilled by PBA D-League officials after 47-point loss

MILA's Lechon suffered its fourth straight loss in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Thursday, and it has left league officials worrying.

That's why the Commissioner's Office has summoned Mila's Lechon officials led by coach Jesse Ricardo on Friday to discuss its embarassing 55-102 loss to Zark's Burger-Lyceum, members of the PBA's technical committee confirmed.

The Mighty Roasters raced off to an 11-3 start behind Ken Acibar, but curiously showed little effort in the second half as the match degenerated into a blowout.

After staying within striking distance for the first 20 minues, Mila's Lechon was held to just 16 points in the next two periods.

Mila's Lechon has now lost its first four games by an average of 26.25 points.

The team's seeming reluctance to execute late in the game even left Zark's Burger-Lyceum coach Topex Robinson perplexed.

"We don't have control of what the other team will do. So if the opportunity is there to score, we're gonna keep on scoring. Kasi again, basketball has been good to us and we wanna give back to basketball," Robinson said.

"And the people here came to watch us play, so we're here to give them what they came here for. So we're gonna play our basketball no matter if they (other team) don't wanna play basketball."
