PAOLO Pontejos and Tey Teodoro hit the big baskets in the dying moments as Jose Rizal University hammered out a 77-75 win over Racal on Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Pontejos scored 16 points, including the three-point play that gave the Heavy Bombers a 71-66 lead with under four minutes to play.

Tey Teodoro hit a  shot off the glass before Rey Nambatac committed a turnover in the next play.

Racal had the chance to tie the game but Nambatac passed the ball to no one instead of taking the shot with a fraction of a second left.

Teodoro scattered 20 points and John Ambukudto scored 12 for the Heavy Bombers, who ended their three-game skid to improve to a 3-3 win-loss record while dealing Racal its first loss in six games.
