Mike Tolomia posts triple-double as Phoenix eases past AMA to retake D-League lead

MIKE Tolomia came up with a triple-double as Phoenix dominated AMA Online Education, 109-70, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The former Far Eastern University point guard finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for the Accelerators, who regained solo leadership with a 7-1 win-loss record.

Roger Pogoy was also outstanding in the game, hitting six triples to finish with 20 points for Phoenix. He hit three triples in the first quarter alone to put the Accelerators ahead, 34-13.

Phoenix coach Eric Gonzales continued to laud the team’s consistency in recent games.

“The players are being responsible now and they're getting ready for the important games. We're happy that we're sharing the ball. Nagsimula kay Mike and rest of the team followed,” said Gonzales.

James Martinez had 15 points for AMA, which succumbed to its fifth loss in six games.
