MARINERONG Pilipino erased a 10-point deficit in the final three minutes to hammer out a 72-71 win over Racal in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Down 61-71, the Skippers turned to Achie Inigo and Joseph Marata to spark an 11-to-nothing run that allowed them to pull off just their second win in six matches.

Marata hit two triples while Inigo banked in a layup with 44 ticks to go that proved to be the game-winner as Jamil Ortuoste of Racal botched a three-pointer as time expired.
