LiverMarin finally scores first win in D-League, at expense of MP Hotel

LIVERMARIN finally won its first game in the PBA D-League, downing beating MP Hotel, 82-68, on Thursday in the Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Jovit de la Cruz scored 15 points, while Choi Ignacio chipped in 14 to help the Guardians make it to the win column after losing their first three games in their maiden conference in the developmental league.

Bradwyn Guinto scored 11 points, and Ryan Costelo had 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for LiverMarin. The Guardians remain at the bottom of the standings, although now they share with the Warriors (1-3).

"Nakaisa din sa wakas,” said a jubilant LiverMarin head coach Rodney Santos. “Excited ako dito sa laban na ’to kasi feeling ko makakakuha kami ng panalo. Hopefully, magtuloy tuloy na.”

The loss spoiled the efforts of Rey Nambatac, who finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Letran-backed Warriors.
