JOHN Tayongtong said it personal bests don’t matter if the team ends up on the losing end, vowing to do better next time after a 39-point performance went for naught as Wangs absorbed another defeat.

"Sayang. Balewala yung 39 points ko kasi talo naman kami," said Tayongtong.

"Bawi na lang kami next game," he said.

Tayongtong scored 25 in the first half, giving the Couriers a 42-40 lead heading into the halftime break but they could not hold on and bowed to Café France in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup.

It was the fourth loss in five games for Wangs.

"Nagulat din ako kasi syempre last game di ako masyado ginamit tas ngayon pumutok ako," said Tayongtong, adding he did nothing special before the contest.

"Nung na feel ko na gumagana shots ko tinuloy tuloy ko na. nagulat din ako na ang laki ng pinuntos ko."
