JERWIN Gaco is relishing the opportunity to play with teammates half his age, saying it gives him the feeling of being back in college.

The five-time PBA champion is back for another tour of duty in the D-League, suiting up this time for Go For Gold which has a tie-up with NCAA team College of St. Benilde.

“Parang balik college uli,” said the fomer La Salle player in the UAAP.

Pero at the same time, nakukundisyon ako kasi puro bata mga kasama ko.

The 37-year-old Gaco proved he’s up to the task as he led by example while playing alongside youngsters such as Unique Naboa, an 18-year-old incoming sophomore for the Blazers.

The Go For Gold skipper flirted with a double-double, scoring 13 points and pulling down nine rebounds in a win over Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare.

“Nung practice namin, na-kundisyon ako kasi puro takbuhan kami. Kaya okay din,” said Gaco.

Gaco also hopes to contribute to CSB’s preparation for the NCAA this year.

“Parang kuya na nila ako. Tatay na nga eh,” said Gaco with a laugh.
