JERON Teng has maintained his place on top of the stat sheets ahead of the vote for the MVP title in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Teng averaged 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.1 assists while also setting the record for most triple doubles with three as Flying V completed a 10-game sweep of the elimination round.

The Thunder were the fourth to score an elims sweep in the PBA developmental league after NLEX squads in the 2012 and 2014 Foundation Cups and Cagayan Valley in the 2015 Aspirants' Cup.

Teng has two UAAP Finals MVP awards but never was never hailed season's top player in five years with La Salle.

Votes from the league’s television partner, members of the media and commissioner's office will determine the MVP, with the contenders based on team wins and individual stats.

The title is expected to be awarded during the finals.

Teng played for AMA Online Education last conference and delivered MVP worthy stats but the Titans failed to make at least the semifinals.

Also in the running for the award are Cignal's Raymar Jose and Jason Perkins. Jose normed 11.8 markers, 10.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists, while Perkins averaged 15.3 points, 5.89 rebounds and 1.8 assists for the second-seed Hawkeyes.

Flying V forward Gab Banal, Tanduay playmaker Lester Alvarez and Paul Varilla, CEU's JK Casino and Julian Sargent of streaking Marinerong Pilipino are also among the conference’s top players.
