ZARK'S Burger - Lyceum completed its fairy tale run in the most fitting manner after stunning Che'Lu Bar and Grill San Sebastian with a 92-82 come-from-behind victory to take the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup title on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Jawbreakers broke through the jaws of defeat as they eradicated a 14-point deficit in the third before turning on the heat in the fourth to complete their comeback trail and become the first ever team to win the title after finishing at sixth place in the eliminations.

Down 63-49, Zark's trimmed the lead to a manageable deficit entering the payoff period as they forced turnover after turnover to lay down the carpet on a huge fourth quarter rally.

Conference MVP CJ Perez led a huge 21-4 rally in the quarter to turn a 64-70 deficit to an 85-74 lead.

This was highlighted by Perez' improbable save that ended up as an assist to Mike Nzeusseu, much to the delight of the pro-Zark's crowd.

All in all, the Jawbreakers outscored the Revellers 28-12 in the fourth period while forcing 18 turnovers in the second half resulting to 22 turnover points in 20 minutes.

"I just told them that love wins as long as we love each other and trust each other, we’ll win," said Zark’s coach Topex Robinson who took his second title in three tries with this core, after winning the PCCL crown with Lyceum two months ago.

"I just told them you’re inspiring people and you're doing that by not just giving up," he added.

Nzeusseu had a monster game for the Jawbreakers with 28 points and 18 boards as Perez finished with 26 points, eight steals and six rebounds.

Michael Calisaan led the Revellers with 17 points and six rebounds as Ryan Costelo and Alfred Batino added 12 apiece.
