Cignal makes it back-to-back wins with D-League record 67-point rout over Gamboa Coffee

CIGNAL blasted Gamboa Coffee Mix in a record-setting blowout, 118-51, in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Thursday. 

The Hawkeyes jumped to a 27-17 lead to open the match before going full throttle in the third period to outscore the Coffee Lovers, 40-11, and enter the fourth period with a 90-35 advantage.

Cignal scored back-to-back victories to improve to a 4-2 win-loss record while handing the Coffee Lovers their second loss in three outings.

Pamboy Raymundo and Byron Villarias led the Hawkeyes with 17 points each, while Raymar Jose added 15 markers and seven rebounds en route to posting the biggest winning margin in D-League history.

"Di ko alam yun a. Ang reminders ko lang sa players ko is that I want to see discipline in terms of our execution," said Cignal coach Boyet Fernandez.

Kenneth Acibar paced Gamboa with10 points.
