SIMON Enciso scored 24 points to lead Cebuana Lhuillier to a 90-78 win over Breadstory-Lyceum on Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

The Gems scored their sixth win in 10 outings, tying Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Giants in fourth place.

Cebuana Lhuillier can still claim a twice-to-beat edge in the playoffs if they win over MP Hotel, and Jumbo Plastic loses to MJM M-Builders on Thursday.

In case of a tie, however, the Giants will take the twice-to-beat due to the winner-over-the-other rule.

Cebuana Lhuillier coach Boycie Zamar wasn’t satisfied his wards play as the Gems put the foot off the gas pedal after building a 26-point lead.

“Consistent kami to be inconsistent. Come playoff time, hindi puwede ’yun,” said Zamar.

Breadstory dropped to 4-6, snapping its two-game winning run. But the Pirates remain in contention for a quarterfinal berth.
