CafeFrance regains share of Foundation Cup lead with victory over Blustar

CAFEFRANCE defeated Blustar-KL Dragons, 98-83, on Tuesday at the JCSGO gym to regain a share of the top spot in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.

Carl Bryan Cruz led six CafeFrance players in double figures, scoring 19 points as the Bakers scored their third win in as many outings, tying Phoenix for the lead.

The Bakers, who only trailed at the start of the game, 3-0, before pulling away, also got 17 points from Mar Villahermosa and 15 from Paul Zamar. Rodrigue Ebondo had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds for CafeFrance.

Blustar, which still played without injured guard Juami Tiongson, suffered its second loss in as many games.
