Blustar KL Dragons clobber Mindanao Aguilas for first victory in D-League

BLUSTAR-KL Dragons scored its first win in five games, downing Topstar ZC Mindanao Aguilas, 89-75, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Strike Gym in Bacoor, Cavite.

Juami Tiongson had 24 points, while Wong Yi Hou was the top Malaysian scorer for the Dragons with 19 points in the battle of winless teams.

Kuek Tian Yuan had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds for Blustar, which somehow soothed the pain of a 62-point loss to Racal.

The Dragons bounced back in a big way, going on a 10-0 run in the first quarter for a 24-13 advantage over the Aguilas. A 12-2 run gave Blustar a 84-58 lead midway through the final period to put the game away.

Gino Jumao-as scored 16 for the Aguilas, winless in four games.
