Jeron Teng drops 31 as AMA rallies past JRU to end two-game skid

JERON Teng put up an explosive performance as AMA Online Education got back on the winning track with a 69-61 win over Jose Rizal University in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the JCSGO Gym on Monday. 

Teng fired 31 points with six boards as the Titans improved to 3-2 while dealing the Heavy Bombers their first loss in three games.

Gino Jumao-as impressed in his first game with 12 points, while Jay-R Taganas added 10 points and 16 rebounds. 

The Titans rose from five points down early in the fourth period on their way to arresting a two-game skid. 

Down 58-59, Teng, Juami Tiongson, and Taganas conspired inside the final two minutes to mount an 11-2 run that finished off the Heavy Bombers.  

"Yung composure namin sa huli (lumabas). Sabi ko sa players ko walang bibitaw kasi must-win kami. Pinagbigyan naman ako ng mga players ko," said AMA coach Mark Herrera. 

Paolo Pontejos was the lone JRU player in double figures with 19 points.
