JUAMI Tiongson dropped 32 points and Jeron Teng followed up his 42-point debut with a huge double-double as AMA Online Education scored its second straight win at the expense of Cignal-San Beda, 94-85, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday.

Teng finished with 16 points and 15 rebounds for AMA as the Titans seized control early in the fourth period after taking a 79-67 lead on Tiongson's jumper at the 6:43 mark.

AMA never looked back thanks to timely baskets from Tiongson, who earned praise from his coach Mark Herrera.

"Kinausap ko siya before the game. Alam namin na malaking bagay pagkawala ni Diego Dario and I asked him to make the most of his extra minutes," Herrera said.

Things went downhill for the Hawkeyes from the midway point of the fourth after hanging tough against the Titans. But Herrera saw more room for improvement in terms of their team defense despite the romp.

"Meron pa ring kailangan improve. Sana next game naman makapagadjust, wag mag-relax sa depensa," he said.

Peejay Barua also chipped in 13 points for the Titans who improved to 2-0.

Davon Potts scored 11 of his 18 points in the fourth period but it did little to help the Hawkeyes’ cause.

Mark Bringas had 14 points, while newly-signed Jason Perkins had 13 markers and 10 rebounds.
