AMA Online Education suffered a double whammy on Monday as big man Andre Paras sprained his ankle late in the 79-83 loss to Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Thursday.

Paras injured his right ankle with 5:56 left in the fourth period and sat out the rest of the game as he ended up with five points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

But AMA coach Mark Herrera said the outcome could have been different had Paras played the rest of the back-and-forth battle.

"Definitely (maiiba outcome). Kasi nagtu-two bigs na kami sa ilalim eh. Kung makikita niyo, yung mga last foul namin, puro foul counted because of small na yung nasa ilalim ko," said Herrera.

"So kung di na-injure si Andre, siguro sa tingin ko, maganda yung laban at tsaka nasustain namin yung lamang namin."

Herrera added that the injury on AMAs 6-foot-5 big man was nothng serious, and hes optimistic the son of PBA legend Benjie could play in their next game against Batangas-EAC on Monday.

"Actually, regular sprain lang. Ipapahinga lang niya. 'Di naman grabe," Herrera said.

"Cleared na siya maglaro. Sana," he added.
