PHOENIX stayed unbeaten in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Monday after a 97-89 win over AMA Online Education at the JCSGO gym.

Mike Tolomia led the way for the Accelerators in the absence of injured fellow stars Mac Belo and Roger Pogoy, scoring 27 points as the team improved to 3-0 in the conference.

The Accelerators led by as many as 23 points and Tolomia was there to save the day with two clutch free throws after AMA got too close for comfort, 95-89, in the endgame.

“Hindi kami dapat maging kontento,” said Phoenix coach Eric Gonzalesn. "Tignan niyo naman, evident (na) may tendency talaga na mag-relax. ‘Yun ang trabaho ng coach, igu-guide mo sila.”
