WANGS Basketball used a huge third quarter run to take control on the way to a 133-92 victory over Zark's Burger in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Monday.
Michael Juico had a dazzling outing with 30 points, 12 rebounds and six assists for the Couriers, who overpowered the Jawbreakers in the third period, 46-12.
Robbie Herndon scored 26 points to go with six rebounds and five assists, while John Ambulodto had 16 markers.
The Couriers led by only six at halftime but stretched it to 102-62 after three quarters and led by as many as 47 points, 133-86.
Wangs got back on winning track and improved to a 4-3 card while the Jawbreakers stayed in the cellar with a 1-6 record.
"Nag-adjust lang kami sa defense," said Wangs coach Pablo Lucas.
"Gusto talaga namin no easy shots yung kalaban. Sumunod na lang yung opensa."
Robby Celiz caught fire early and finished with 37 points on top of three rebounds, three assists, and three blocks, but turned the ball over six times.
RR de Leon scored 18 points, while Tata Bautista had 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
