CHE'LU Bar and Grill foiled a late Perpetual Help rally to score a 83-70 victory on Monday in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the Pasig Sports Center.
Michael Calisaan led the Revellers with 20 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Samboy De Leon had 16 points and nine boards, while RK Ilagan scored 13 markers to go with eight assists and three steals.
The Revellers saw their 17-point lead in the fourth period sliced to nine, 79-70, after the Altas went on a 10-1 run sparked by AJ Coronel's three-pointer with 3:40 remaining.
But the Altas committed consecutive turnovers in the crucial stretch, and De Leon and Ilagan canned four free throws to seal the win.
Despite the victory, Che'Lu coach Stevenson Tiu says the team, and even himself, have a lot of work to do.
"Nanalo kami dahil sa talent e. Medyo magulo pa. Mali ko yun kasi di pa ako masyado nakakaadjust sa mga players. Hopefully in the coming days makaadjust na," Tiu said.
Prince Eze put up a solid outing of 15 points, 11 rebounds and seven blocks, while Coronel and John Rey Villanueva chipped in 13 points apiece.
