MAC Belo gave credit to his Phoenix Petroleum-Far Eastern University teammates after adding the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup MVP title to his growing collection.

Named Finals MVP in the UAAP just four months ago, Belo was given the top individual award for the Aspirants Cup.

Belo said he would not have won the MVP without his teammates, making special mention of Mike Tolomia.

“Shine-share ko rin sa kanya (Tolomia) ’yung MVP pati sa mga teammates ko,” Belo added.

Belo said the Accelerators’ offense begins with Tolomia, a longtime teammate who is now transitioning into the point guard position.

“Masaya ako sa award. Blessed ako. Pero give credit ko Mike din. Sa kanya naman nag-uumpisa lahat eh. Para sa amin siya din ‘yung MVP,” he said.

However, it was a bittersweet Tuesday for Belo as the Accelerators failed to finish off CafeFrance, setting the stage for a winner-take-all Game Five.

Belo said he remains blessed to have won another individual award as his stock for the PBA draft continues to rise.

“Bunga lang ng pagsisikap. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Panginoon na binigyan na naman niya ako ng blessings. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa mga coaches,” said Belo.
