TANDUAY shifted to high gear in the third quarter to run away with a 113-71 victory over Gamboa Coffee Mix in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday.
The Rhum Masters put the outcome beyond doubt with a furious 23-0 surge to build a 57-37 buffer behind Paul Varilla, Lester Alvarez, and John Tambeling.
The three combined for 48 points for the Rhum Masters, who claimed their third straight victory for a 3-1 card.
Paul Sanga wrapped it all up with a three-pointer to give Tanduay a taste of its biggest lead at 44, 113-69.
Alvarez and Renz Palma led all scorers with 17 points each, while Adi Santos and and Varilla had 15 markers apiece.
"Kaunting pakonsesnsya. Yung energy na wala nung first half, nakita ko sa kanila," said Tanduay coach Lawrence Chongson.
Kenneth Acibar had 16 points for the Coffee Lovers, who dropped their fourth straight match after winning their debut.
Mike Parala and playing coach Leo Avenido added 12 and 11 markers, respectively.
