RACAL gained a share of the second spot after holding off Victoria Sports-MLQU, 75-70, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Lervin Flores topscored for the Tile Masters with 14 points, including the putback with under two minutes left that put the team on top for good, 73-70.
Flores also collared 11 rebounds, while Kent Salado had an all-around game of 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and a block.
The Tile Masters joined Cafe France in second place with a 6-1 win-loss record, keeping their bid for a top two finish alive. Cignal San Beda leads with a 7-1 record.
"Ang daming miscommunication sa game. Good thing we made stps nung huli," said Racal coach Jerry Codinera, whose team blew an eight-point lead but recovered in time to pull off the win.
Aris Dionisio paced Victoria with 16 points and 18 rebounds.
Victoria gained the lead on Dionisio's putback, 70-69, but was held scoreless after that.
Robbie Herndon added 16 points for Victoria, which dropped to 1-7.
