MARINERONG Pilipino boosted its backcourt by signing Kib Montalbo.
The former La Salle guard was recently released by AMA, according to a person close to the situation, and was immediately picked up by the Skippers.
Montalbo has joined the Marinerong Pilipino practice under coach Yong Garcia.
The Skippers (2-1) share third place with Metropac-San Beda in the Foundation Group, just a game behind leaders City of Valencia Bukidnon-SSCR and Centro Escolar University (3-0).
Montalbo is expected to debut with Marinerong Pilipino on Thursday against Wangs Basketball.
Montalbo will be reuniting with former La Salle teammate Santi Santillan, while also boosting the squad that already has veterans Mike Ayonayon and Larry Rodriguez.
