KENT Salado has been ruled out for the remainder of the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup after reinjuring his knee in Go for Gold's opening match against Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare.
Salado confirmed on Tuesday he suffered an MCL injury after a baseline drive with 2:33 left in the third quarter of the 75-68 victory on Monday.
The Arellano guard winced in pain as his teammates carried him to the dugout at the Pasig City Sports Center.
The Arellano University hopes to be back in action in the next NCAA season.
"Pahinga lng dw muna para sa NCAA. Wag ko na lang daw muna ilalaro sa summer," Salado said.
"Okay lang para NCAA na din ako lalaro. Importante kasi yun," he said.
