JUMBO Plastic Linoleum defeated Zambales M-Builders, 80-62, on Thursday to bounce back from its first loss in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Elliot Tan and Karl Dehesa each had 16 points for the Giants, who improved to 3-1 after bowing to Big Chill last week.
“Galing kasi kami sa talo, kailangan namin makabawi para maka-get back sa standings,” said Jumbo Plastic Linoleum coach Stevenson Tiu.
Tan also had 12 rebounds and shot 4-of-6 from three-point range for the Giants, who only pulled away in the final period after a 59-55 lead.
The Giants won after limiting the M-Builders to only seven points in the fourth period and moved closer to league leaders Cagayan Valley and Big Chill in the team standings.
Zambales now owns a 2-3 win-loss slate.
