    Jumbo Plastic overpowers Wangs to stay close to league leaders

    JUMBO Plastic Linoleum held Wangs Basketball to just six points in the fourth quarter to win, 75-59, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Blue Eagle Gym.

    The Giants won their fifth game in six outings to stay within striking distance of leaders Big Chill, NLEX, and Hog’s Breath Café.

    Jumbo Plastic won by outscoring Wangs, 20-6, in the fourth quarter after a 55-53 lead at the end of the third period.

    Mark Romero had eight of his 14 points in the fourth, while Jan Colina added 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jason Ballesteros finished with 11 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks.

    Wangs, which had 20 points from Michael Juico, dipped to 2-4.
