The Giants opened the conference with a 76-56 victory over National University-Banco De Oro, before beating Café France, 74-70, on Monday.

A win over the Superchargers in their 4 p.m. match-up will tie them with Cagayan Valley (3-0) for the early lead.

Jumbo Plastic coach Stevenson Tiu said it will be a huge test to play Big Chill, coming off a thrilling 92-91 victory over NU-Banco De Oro on Monday.

“We have to sustain it. Our next game will be a test of character. We have to stay focused,” said Tiu, who will be relying on ex-pro Jason Ballesteros and Jan Colina after both averages a team-best 14 points in the first two games.

But Big Chill coach Robert Sison admitted the team has to play better against Jumbo Plastic.

”A lucky win for us,” Sison said. “Definitely we need to play better than this when we play Jumbo. They’ve been playing well so we have to match their intensity. Their bigs are doing good but I like our chances.”

Blackwater Sports, meanwhile, tries to keep its spotless record too, when it takes on newcomer Wangs Basketball at 2 p.m.

The Elite opened their bid for a second straight league championship when they beat Boracay Rum, 87-85 on Monday.

But Blackwater Sports is not about to take Wangs lightly as the Couriers only lost by two points over Zambales M-Builders, 74-76, last week.
