CIGNAL just got an added boost in time for the PBA D-League Foundation Cup semifinals.
In need of player to back up Pamboy Raymundo at the point guard position, the Hawkeyes signed Jonathan Uyloan on Monday on loan from Meralco.
Uyloan will replace Simon Atkins, adding depth to the Aspirants' Cup champions who clinched an outright semifinal berth by registering an 8-2 record in the elimination round.
The point guard was expected to play in Cignal's last elimination round game against Centro Escolar University but the team failed to complete the required documents before the match.
“He should have been here in our last game, but paper works had to be fixed first,” said coach Boyet Fernandez.
Uyloan last played for the Bolts in 96-104 loss to TnT Katropa in the Commissioner's Cup on June 9.
