ALBEREI stayed alive in the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup, outlasting Italiano's Homme, 61-51, on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Jomari Lacastesantos fired eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Kings finally scored a win after four losses and stayed in the hunt for a quarterfinals spot.
Lacastesantos also had 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals.
"I'm glad na nakuha na namin yung first win," said a relieved coach Jayson Cariaga.
Jonathan Parreno added 12 points, six boards and three dimes, while Paulino Rebollos got 11 in the breakthrough victory for the cellar-dwelling Alberei.
It was a superb fourth quarter performance for the Kings, unloading 27 points in the payoff period to overturn a 41-38 with 7:27 left to play.
Marlon Monte capped Italiano's Homme with 11 points, as Mar Villahermosa got 10 points and five boards as they fell to a 1-3 slate.
