VON Tambeling believes Tanduay will go places in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup so long as the team sticks to its system.
And such was the case on Tuesday when it turned back Wangs Courier, 93-81, to earn a berth in the quarterfinals.
Tambeling scored 15 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the Rhum Masters’ third straight win.
“Nag-stick kami doon sa sistema namin tapos noong timeout noong dumidikit na sila sabi ni coach (Lawrence Chongson) mag-stick kami sa sistema at 'wag kami magkanya-kanya para magtuloy-tuloy 'yung momentum naming,” said Tambeling, who was surprised being named as the game’s best player.
"Masaya ako kasi twice-to-beat kami tsaka walang pressure sa amin. Pero kailangan pa rin namin mag-ensayo ng mabuti tsaka pagtrabahuhan talaga na magtuloy-tuloy ang panalo hanggang championship," he added.
The Rhum Masters carry a 6-2 record with two games left in their schedule before the playoffs.
“Hindi ko pa masasabi anong mangyayari sa quarterfinals, basta maglalalaro kami as a team at susunod kami sa sistema namin," said Tambeling.
