JERRY Codinera has been hired by Racal as head coach for its PBA D-League after leading the Arellano Chiefs to the NCAA Season 92 finals.
Codinera takes over the helm after Racal’s former mentor Caloy Garcia was installed as coach of the Rain or Shine Elastopainters in the PBA.
The PBA legend was fresh from leading the Chiefs to a 14-4 record in the NCAA eliminations, before the team bowed to San Beda in the championship series.
Codinera said the team will not be a school-based, meaning he won't be bringing the Chiefs squad in the PBA D-League. He added they are still finalizing the lineup for the opening of the league in January.
