FLYING V got going early and went on to blast Zark's Burger, 97-59, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Thunder jumped to a 21-5 lead and showed the Jawbreakers no mercy, registering their ninth victory in as many matches.
Jeron Teng had a triple-double of20 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Thomas Torres and Oda Tampus tallied 14 points each, while Gab Banal had 11.
“This was a no-bearing game for us but we just wanted to do our best in this time so we don’t lose our sharpness going into the playoffs," said Flying V coach Eric Altamirano.
The Thunder will go for a sweep of the eliminations when they take on Batangas on August 1.
Mac Cardona had 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists in his second game for Zark's Burger, which wrapped up its maiden conference with a horrendous 1-9 record.
RR De Leon added 13 points.
